Summary
1. Mazlow suggests we move up the ladder of needs and are motivated by the lower needs first.
2. Do not need to completely satisfy needs on a lower level in order to start work on needs of higher level.
Example:        Majority phy. & safety needs met (but
not all), will work on social needs next.
3. Mazlow's hierarchy provides useful way to view employee motivation & as a guide for management.
        - Am. business able to satisfy worker's basic needs, but
higher level needs more of a problem.
        - Satisfying higher-level needs varies from one
        employee to another.
