CLEMENS MEDIA CENTER
CHECKOUT AND OVERDUE POLICY
Books are checked out for two weeks.
At any time a student may recheck a book.
At the end of the two weeks, the book will become overdue.
An overdue notice will be placed in the student’s English teacher’s mailbox, and the English teacher will distribute the overdue notice.
The student’s responsibilities include:
-----noting the date due stamped in the back of the book
-----returning OR rechecking the book BEFORE the due date passes
-----taking care of returning the overdue book and paying the fine
Note: Fines of up to 50 cents (5 days overdue) are removed. Therefore, if you receive an overdue notice and take care of it immediately, you will not have to pay the fine.
CLEMENS MEDIA CENTER COMPUTER USE POLICY
In order for a student to use a media center computer, he must present his I.D. at the Circulation Desk. Library personnel will write down the student’s name, teacher, time on the computer and computer workstation number. Should a student fail to present an I.D., he will be asked to obtain one. If the student is with a class, his teacher may verify who he is the first time so that he may use a computer. In all other cases, the student will not be allowed access to the workstations until he can present an I.D. Library personnel will issue a checkout card numbered with the computer workstation that the student is to use. There should be neither changing nor sharing of workstations. The student will place the checkout card next to the computer workstation that he has been assigned. At the end of his session, the student will return
his checkout card to the Circulation Desk to be logged out and receive his I.D. Internet access is for instructional use only. It must be assignment driven. Email and chat room access are not permitted.
All policies in the Student/Parent Handbook are in force.
