Project Graduation is a celebration for SCHS seniors on graduation night 2008. The idea of Project Graduation is spreading across the nation because statistically the two most deadly nights for teenagers are Prom night and Graduation night. More teens are killed around the time of Prom and Graduation than any other time of year. Project Graduation has saved lives in every community where it is held. The Project Graduation committee plans and executes an all night celebration the night of graduation ceremonies. By keeping our graduates together on this night we can help the students celebrate safely.

The event is drug, alcohol and tobacco free, well-supervised with proper security, ample entertainment, food and celebrations provided in a safe environment to create a lasting memory of high school years and friends. This is the last social event for the entire graduating class to be together. The senior and non-senior parents volunteer to supply the enormous amount of planning and logistics required to complete this project.

SCHS 2008 Project Graduation is organized by parents of the senior class. Our primary purpose is to organize, fund and execute a secure celebration that is alcohol, drug and tobacco free for graduating students. All of the financing and work for the celebration is accomplished with donations and volunteers.

The success of the event is in direct relation to the number of volunteers working towards a common goal. The need for volunteers ranges from leaders to committee chairs, coordinators, single event volunteers, to just donating monies. Planning starts a year in advance and several fundraisers are held to raise money for the project. This is why it is so very important for you to get involved in any capacity and encourage your friends to join us in making this project a night the graduates will remember for the rest of their lives.
