Dobie's UIL Academic Team Practice Room Numbers Events & Coaches Meet Information Transportation Modern Oratory Topics Contact Me         Academic competitions provide a means to flex mental muscles and excel in one or more of the thirteen events offered at Dobie.  Dobie Jr. High participates with five other junior high schools (Canyon, Church Hill, Corbett, Smithson Valley, and Spring Branch). According to the UIL website, the events, “which exist to complement the academic curriculum, are designed to motivate students as they acquire higher levels of knowledge, to challenge students to confront issues of importance, and to provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate mastery of specific skills.”
