 At Schertz Elementary, the students learn all about having a good character. Students have many opportunities to role play the core virtues of responsibility, honesty, generosity, citizenship, trustworthiness, respect, and caring. Character counts coupons are handed out to children who practice these core virtues on a daily basis. The students then have the opportunity to put their coupon into a bucket for a chance to receive special recognition on the morning announcements.
