CHILI’S NIGHT
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING CHILI’S NIGHT A HUGE SUCCESS!!  It was so much fun seeing all of the Watts’ families eating out together and watching the children’s faces when they would see their teacher, the specials teachers, the staff, or Mrs. Stark there!  Watts’ families alone brought Chili’s over $4500 in food sales that night which in turn gave us about $450 in profit.  What a great way to make money for the school to spend on your child’s education!  Chili’s also commented on what a great school Watts must be with all of the support our families and staff showed that night!  They were very impressed!!  JUST GOES TO SHOW YOU AGAIN HOW AWESOME WATTS WILDCATS’ FAMILIES ARE!!!

Fundraiser Update
Thank you so much for all of your support during the fundraiser!!  We don’t have final numbers just yet, but we have already exceeded our goal of $35,500 in gross sales and still have some profit coming in from the “Reach Out” booklets you sent in to be mailed to family members and friends who live out-of-town.  Thank you again and we couldn’t do it without you!!

Lost and Found
Now that the cool weather is approaching, please remember to label your child’s coat, jacket or sweater and anything else such as a hats and gloves your child may wear to school.  Also, please check to make sure that lunchboxes and backpacks are also labeled.  We will be donating everything in lost and found at the end of the school day on December 18th.  Anytime you are at the school, please check lost and found to see if any of your child’s belongings are there.  Thank you!

Character Parade
Watts will be celebrating Children’s Book Week with a character parade on Friday, November 21st.  The students are asked to dress in character from one of their favorite books.  The costumes need to be directly related to a character in a story they have read, and your child needs to have the book with him or her for the parade.  Forms were sent home to fill out and return about what costume they will be wearing and costumes have to be approved before November 21st.

Box Tops and Tyson Labels
Box Tops and Tyson labels are an easy way to bring income to Watts.  Please keep clipping those labels and watch the newsletter or website for our next collection date!!

We always appreciate your interest in the PTC, which stands for “Parent Teacher Club”, and encourage you to volunteer in any way that interests you.  Volunteering is a great way to be involved in your child’s education and a golden opportunity to get to know the WONDERFUL Watt’s teachers and staff!!

Criminal History Check
There are many opportunities to volunteer, BUT FIRST, YOU HAVE TO COMPLETE A CRIMINAL HISTORY CHECK.  You can do this by stopping by the front office and filling one out.  It usually takes a couple of weeks for it to be completed.  It HAS TO BE ON FILE before you are able to volunteer in the school.

E-MAIL Volunteer List
THANK YOU to everyone who has signed up to receive emails from the PTC.  It worked out really well last year to contact volunteers via email, so we are going to do it again this year.  If you have not signed up to receive emails, please contact us at watts.ptc@gmail.com and we will add you to the list.

If you ever have any questions for us, please feel free to contact us at:  watts.ptc@gmail.com
