Interested in volunteering? Send your name, contact information, and how you would like to assist to: SippelPTC@yahoo.com
What is the PTC? The PTC is the Parent Teacher Club and is a vital link to enhance positive communication between the school and community. Instead of having a PTA or PTO as you may be familiar with, we will have a PTC. This will allow for all of our fundraising money to stay right here with our students at Sippel. In addition, there will be no membership dues or commitments involved for you. You will be a member just because you support your child!
What does the PTC do? A PTC builds a community connection by creating and organizing events/programs to involve all who have an interest in the campus. Parents will be able to: volunteer in the workroom making copies and preparing projects for the teachers, help during Red Ribbon Week and at Field day, decorate for holidays, facilitate the school fundraiser, sell school spirit shirts, coordinate Box Tops activities, show appreciation of staff through various projects… actually the list is endless. That is why you will be needed!
Where is the PTC? The PTC will be everywhere around our school and will leave positive handprints on most events. If there is something special you would like to help out with, you will be able to contact someone on the PTC board to get information (once the board is established).
Who is the PTC? This is the best part! You will be the PTC. Without the parent volunteers, the PTC will not be able to exist.
When is the PTC? The PTC will have evening meetings throughout the year to keep parents informed of school activities and new opportunities to help as well as to showcase student performances.
Being active in the PTC is a great way to be involved in your child’s education! During the Summer 2008 months, watch for information about how to volunteer for special events and for the workroom to help out your child’s teacher.
