School Procedures
Breakfast is served from 7:10 to 7:35 a.m. in the cafeteria.  All students not eating breakfast should report to the gym when arriving at school (with the exception of  Spec. Ed. and Pre-K).  Students are not to arrive at school before 7:00 a.m.

The first bell rings at 7:35 a.m.  Tardy bell rings at 7:45 a.m.  All students should be in their classrooms no later than 7:45 a.m. when the tardy bell rings.  Students arriving after 7:45 a.m. must be signed in at the office by a parent before going to class.

Attendance is taken at 10:00 a.m. each day.  If your child has a doctor’s appointment and attends any portion of the school day, they will be counted present only if you bring a note from the doctor by the next day.  Most of the area doctor and dentist offices are familiar with this requirement and will provide you with an excuse upon request.

Parents are to call the school office on the morning their child is absent.  A written note is required concerning the child’s absence on the day the child returns to school.  Notes should include date(s) of absence, reason for absence, parent signature, and telephone number.

If there is a change in going home procedure for your child, please notify the school office no later than 2:00 p.m.  Dismissal time is 2:45 p.m.

Teaching time is very valuable so we try to keep classroom interruptions to a minimum.  If you need to speak with a teacher, please arrange to meet with them during their conference time or leave a message for them to contact you.  A copy of our school schedule is on the back of this page.  Teacher conference times are during rotation periods.
