Mary D'Angelo has been the Content Mastery teacher in charge of the Learning Lab since Watts opened in 1999. She is certified in both regular elementary education and special education (grades pre-K - 12). Her Master's degree is in special education with a specialization in Learning Disabilities. Prior to becoming a teacher, Mary spent 23 years on active duty as an enlisted Air Force member. She retired in 1996 as an E-7 (Master Sergeant). Her Air Force jobs included 20 years as a training specialist, with six years teaching Professional Military Education to enlisted supervisors. Mary has lived in a number of different countries and spent 10 years of her career in Europe . She is married and has three children one in his 30’s, one in his 20’s, and a teenage daughter in high school. Mary reports that her
