WebQuest for 4th Grade |

|
You have been chosen as the team to create the made-for-TV movie of the Texas Revolution. As writers, directors, and producers of this movie, you will need to research four important battles of the Texas Revolution that you have been asked to include in the movie. As you go through this WebQuest, you will be guided through the research of the following battles: Battle of Gonzales, Battle of the Alamo, Goliad Massacre, and the Battle of San Jacinto. |

In assigned groups, gather information on a specific battle. Create a presentation that will be videotaped as your section of the movie. You will be evaluated on the information you gather as a group and your final presentation. |

Power Point Presentation- Minimum of 5 slides including an introduction slide and a conclusion slide. As you are running your Power Point presentation that includes the key events of the battle, it will be videotaped. Poster/Voiceover Presentation- Create minimum of 5 22"x28" posters that includes the key events of the battle, an introduction poster, and a conclusion poster. Write the dialogue that goes with each poster. On the day of the presentation, as each poster is held up, the dialogue will be read as you are being videotaped. Dramatization- Create a play that includes dialogue, action, and costumes/props. Play that includes the key events of the battle must be a minimum of 5 minutes. |

You will need to use a minimum of 3 resources including 1 online encyclopedia, 1 online website, and 1 hardcopy encyclopedia or reference/history book. On the Resources page, you will find helpful links to complete your WebQuest. Don’t forget to list your resources. |

| Evaluation will be on the worksheet and the presentation. To know the areas you will be evaluated on, see the Rubric. You will be asked to evaluate yourself. The teacher will also evaluate you. The final grade will be an average of these two. |
