Classroom Guidance Lessons:
I always look forward to my classroom guidance lessons. Once a month, I teach guidance lessons on topics that will provide students with skills needed to help them be more successful in school, home, and in the community. All lessons are developmentally age appropriate as they build on as students get older.
Some guidance topics include: feelings, friendship, careers, drug awareness and prevention, perseverance, goal setting, test preparation, looking at the bright side, organizational traits, being responsible, bullying, anger management, manners, being special and unique, dealing with a loss, and getting over irrational fears.
Every year, I try to develop fun, new lessons that will keep students interested and most importantly leave a positive, lasting impression. Look for the guidance note, Counselor's Corner, which goes home after each lesson. |
