The Samuel Clemens High School Mighty Buffalo Band participated in the annual University Interscholastic League Marching Contest on Oct. 17 at the Judson Rutledge Stadium in Converse.

The band earned unanimous First Division Superior Ratings from all three judges. Their show was based on an original composition by Julie Giroux and arranged by Carol Chambers entitled "To Walk With Wings".

The Mighty Buffalo Band has previously earned first place honors at USSBA Marching Band Contests on September 26th and October 3rd, as well as placing second at the Judson "Rocket Review" Marching Contest on October 10th.
