Counselor’s Corner
Dear Parents,
School is off to a great start and I am very excited to see all the bright and excited faces at Jordan Intermediate! It has been a joy to see returning students and to meet the incoming 5th graders and those new to the district. I would like to take this opportunity to brief you on the services that I provide.
As a school counselor, I will be available to assist you and your child when their behavior or emotions are affecting their academic and social performance in school. I believe students should feel that school is a safe place where all children can learn and be successful.
Throughout the year, I will be visiting your children in their classrooms. School-wide activities and celebrations will be planned and I hope everyone can encourage their children to participate. I also provide ongoing group and individual counseling when needed.
Referrals to the counselor are through recommendation by the teacher, parent, or the individual student. Please understand I am here as a problem solver and not as a disciplinarian.
