Welcome to fifth grade!!

We are excited to have you here. Please take a few minutes to explore this website and see what is here. I think that you will find that many of the questions you have concerning class can be answered on these pages.

Our goals in fifth grade are:
1. To enjoy learning
2. To become fluent readers, writers, speakers, and listeners
3. To prepare for the TAKS tests (students must pass reading and math tests for promotion)
4. To teach students responsibility for their own learning
5. To learn to read for enjoyment as well as for learning

Join us on this exciting journey through fifth grade. Working together, we can be successful!!

All About Mrs. Eldridge

I have enjoyed teaching for a total of 17 years now with 13 of those in SCUCISD and 10 of them at Jordan Intermediate. I have dreamed about  being a teacher since I was 9 years old. I have always loved the school environment and learning. I enjoy conveying that excitement to my students.

I grew up in San Antonio, Texas and graduated from Churchill High School. I then attended the University of Texas at Austin (Hook 'em Horns!!) where I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education.

My hobbies include reading (a MUST for a reading teacher), baseball (watching, not playing), and event planning. I also enjoy spending time with my family: my husband and my two children ages 10 and 6.
