Classroom Rules ~ Mrs. Matney – Social Studies
1. Follow district/school policies as stated in the handbook.
2. Be on time to class with required textbook and supplies.
3. No swearing or use of vulgar language or “take the challenge!”
"I take the challenge." I hold myself to the highest of standards. I will refrain
from swearing and use constructive vocabulary words instead.
4. Always be courteous and respectful. Do not talk when teachers or peers are talking.
Do not make rude or sarcastic comments (or noises) to teachers, students, or any
visitors to the classroom. Use your manners!
5. Writing, drawing, or marking on textbooks, workbooks, desks, tests, or mouse pads
is not allowed.
6. Gum, snacks, and drinks are allowed in the classroom as long as it does not interfere
with class work. Do NOT eat or drink at the computer tables!!!
7. My desk, file cabinets, storage boxes, pictures, computer, thermostat, light switches,
and other personal belongings are ALWAYS off limits to all students.
8. Have a positive attitude and always do your best work. Do NOT cheat! Try to enjoy
your learning experience!
9. Cell Phones will be collected if viewed (or heard) by the instructor. Students
will be charged $15.00 in order to retrieve their phones. This is a campus rule
and will be strictly enforced no matter how much we like you!
10. No Facial Piercings allowed, including retainers.
