What we are:

A fun, cadet led, citizenship building program--with military structure and discipline, teaching a young American the values of the U.S. Air Force, and how to become a citizen of character for the nation and community

What we are not:

A boot camp, or an easy alternative to PE.  JROTC is an elective, not required for graduation, and it's not for everyone.  JROTC is a high performance, achievement oriented program.  Parental involvement is needed to a certain extent--assignments and grades can be followed on gradespeed.

However, understand that JROTC instructors work directly with the cadets for all assignments and grades.

HQ Inspection 29 November 2007
Great job! The TX-082nd was inspected and all indications are a very high rating! Special kudos go to the Cadet corps, and the observed corps leaders. Special notice for a top-notch mission briefing by c/Alex Rivera, the AS/2 cadets marching the 30 drill sequence to a drill team standard, and the overall uniform wear of the cadets. Good on you!
