Mrs. Cynthia Cook

My name is Cynthia Cook.  I was born in Goldsboro, North Carolina and have lived all over the United States as my father was in the military.  I moved to Texas when I was 8 and have lived in Texas since that time!   I attended high school at Judson High School in Converse,  and deciced to stay home for college.  I  graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio.   I currently reside in Schertz and have called Schertz my home since 1993!  I am fortunate that my parents and my sister and her family live in Schertz!! My daughter Krista, who is fourteen, and is a student and a JV cheerleader at Samuel Clemens High School, and my son Benjamin, is six and in first grade at Paschal Elementary.  We also welcomed our daughter, Kendall Grace in November 2010.  My husband, Ben, is also an educator and is the head football coach/athletic coordinator at Macarthur High School in San Antonio.  Go Brahmas!!!

During my free time I enjoy watching sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys, Clemens Buffalos, and the Macarthur Brahmas!  My daughter, Krista, is active in all star cheerleading and that keeps us very busy. I also enjoy running, shopping, traveling, and spending time with my friends and family.

I feel very blessed to be an educator and influence the lives of our youngest students. This year begins my tenth year of teaching. I taught PPCD for two years in NISD in San Antonio, as well as for three years in NEISD in San Antonio.  This will be my sixth year in SCUCISD, and I have taught inclusion, PPCD, and ALE in the district.   I am proud to be a part of SCUCISD and a part of this community. Teaching is very rewarding to me, and I love seeing the growth and changes that students have during the school year.  I am excited about this school year and look forward to a fantastic year of learning!
