Mrs. Teresa Fernandez
Welcome to Dyslexia classes! I have my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a Reading Specialist certificate. I have been in the SCUC ISD for over 28 years. I taught mostly 6th grade Language Arts all those years with one year in 5th. I became the Dyslexia teacher at Wilder in 2004.
In my free time I like to read and hang out with my family. It seems we are always on the go!

Dear Parents,
2021-2022 School Year
Welcome to my website! I am happy that you are researching your chid's daily life here at Wilder.
In my classroom we work with the Reading by Design Curriculum on a daily basis. I am asking that all Dyslexic students continue working in the Lexia ( CORE 5 & PowerUp) program to continue their reading skills at home.
The requirement is to have your child work on CORE 5/PowerUp for 45 minutes each week. You can break that time up as you wish.
CORE 5 should be on your child's CLASSLINKS page.
I will be available daily via email. My email is --tfernandez@scuc.txed.net.

Reading is FUN!
Please refer to "My Resources" for sight words & leveled word cards to work on at home.
