Mr. Wetz

Hello Cougar parents and students. I just wanted to share a bit about me. This year is my 15th year at Dobie. I have enjoyed every single year, and a love it when former students come by to pop their heads into my room and let me know how they are doing.

I have two daughters, one of which is an 8th grader her at Dobie.

I absolutely love history and I am passionate about teaching. I see the tremendous value that a knowledge of history has for us as all. As people, we all have a unique perspective on events in our past and present, and I value indivdual pionts of view.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy having fun with my family.

I love fishing, although I rarely have the time for it during the school year.

I enjoy watching shows on the Military Channel, Discovery Channel, and the History Channel.

I enjoy reading books about history.

I am a football and basketball fan, with the Cowboys, and the San Antonio Spurs being my favorite professional teams.

I am a native born Texan, and I feel like I live in the greatest state in the nation.

I offer tutoring (coming soon). I can make arrangements for tutoring on other days after school. Students must get a pass from me prior to attending tutoring. I am able to offer tutoring on other days, but check a day prior with me first to make sure that I do not have a scheduling conflict.
