Welcome to English II!
Writing Utensil - Pencil Preferred, Pen Acceptable
Outside Reading Book
This is a daily work classroom - all assignments for the day are due at the end of the class period regardless of completion.
1) Eliminates the need for "catch-up" homework.
2) Eliminates late and/or missing assignments.
3) Eliminates the "I'll do it later" mentality and reduces wasted time, unmotivation, and distraction.
4) Eliminates the stress of having to make up assignments due to illness and/or emergency.
All work is timed so that students have a reasonable expectation for completion.
Should time run out, students are graded on the work they have completed, not the work they missed - so long as they gave and show a genuine best effort.
Note: All IEP/504 Accommodations considered on classwork completed and turned in.
This classroom has two major at home assignments:
Students and Parents - Join the Remind for Updates and Reminders
Students - text @zimeng2stu to 81010 to join
Parents - text @zimeng2par to 81010 to join
This is one of the most convenient ways to get in touch with me: akin to sending me a text without knowing anyone’s number!
e-mail - firstname.lastname@example.org
(responses are often quick, but please expect up to 24 hours for me to reply)
phone - (210) 619-4000

Mr. Zimmerman -
We are all called upon to serve a part of our world which challenges each of us to grow and evolve in knowledge and wisdom so that we can return to it what we struggled to become so that the world may also grow and evolve.
