    Our Mission

     

    The Mission of Communities In Schools is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.

     

    Services

     

    CIS provides core services, which are implemented by campus-based Site Coordinators, to more than 2,100 case-managed students in Comal and Guadalupe Counties. Services include:

     

    • Tutoring and Testing Preparation
    • Career Awareness & College Preparation
    • Mentoring
    • Individual Supportive Guidance
    • Small Group Support
    • Health and Social Service Referrals
    • Parent & Family Involvement
    • Transportation

     

        Communities In Schools is a non-profit agency who contracts with school districts to surround students with a community of support, empowering students to stay in school and achieve in life. We work to ensure that all our students receive 5 basic needs: a one on one relationship with a caring adult, a safe place to learn and grow, a healthy start and healthy future, a marketable skill to use upon graduation, and a chance to give back to peers and the community.  Use the link below to go to the Communities in Schools website.
