Sick PolicyIf your child was sent home with fever, vomiting or diarrhea or other contagious illness, we request you keep your child home until he/she is free of symptoms for a 24 hour period without the use of medication (Tylenol, cough medicine containing fever reducers, Motrin)Please note that: We understand your dedication to your job and we understand your students’ dedication to school, HOWEVER, when you send your child to school sick that means everyone around them is at risk for coming into contact with their germs, virus and/or contagious disease. Please follow our district protocol located in our Student/Parent Handbook on pages 43-44. It may also be viewed online at www.scuc.txed.net under Health Services.
To help protect other students and staff members if your child is diagnosed with a contagious illness ie: strep throat, pink eye, head lice or flu, I ask that you please contact me or have your physician fax a note stating when your child is able to return to school. Our fax number is: 210-619-4193
