What is the Flu?
The flu (influenza) is an infection of the nose, throat, and lungs caused by the influenza virus. Symptoms include: fever, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, headache, chills, fatigue and sometimes vomiting and diarrhea. Some people with the flu may not have a fever.

Reminder: It's not to late to vaccinate against THE FLU!
What are some everyday preventive actions that can help fight germs, like the flu?- Cover your nose and mouth with tissue when you cough or sneeze.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water. If soap is not available, use an alcohol -based hand sanitizer.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. Germs spread that way
2020-21 Flu Shot Clinic Information- Health Heros of Texas will be providing flu shots to our students again this year and will be on our campus October 19, 2020. To register for the flu shot clinic, please download and complete the flu shot consent form. Please complete ALL sections of the consent form including parent signature. Students with incomplete forms willnot be able to recieve the flu shot. Please reture completed forms to the nurse by October 15, 2020.
