Both of Corey’s parents excelled in music; his mother was a pianist and wedding singer and his father played guitar. His aspiration to become a teacher came from his great parents, who put taking care of others above all else. Stemming from his familial love of music, Corey always knew his dream job awaited him in a band hall.
Corey has been teaching the Corbett Mustang band for 8 years. He could not be happier to have started his career into such a successful program! Corey’s bands have received multiple sweepstakes and superior ratings at contests such as UIL and Honor Band. Teaching in SCUCISD, where he was raised, is an amazing opportunity. Corey is looking forward to another successful year at Corbett Junior High. He cannot wait to share his love for music, and have a positive impact on the young musicians of this wonderful community.
