**SAT School Day Change**
New date: Wednesday, March 24, 2021
Due to delays with shipping as a result of our recent winter storm, we have not received the testing materials which are needed to test our students. Below is a link to a letter with this information.
Rescheduled SAT School Day letter
We apologize for any issues this may cause for you and your students. We will be making up the SAT School day on Wednesday, March 24th. This will give our students time to further prepare before this exam if they choose. Below is a link to the online student guide which gives information about what to expect on the exam as well as some practice test questions. We have also included an additional link which will allow students to access some additional practice tests on College Board's website.

Thank you for your understanding regarding this needed change.
We understand that some of you may not feel comfortable sending your student to campus to test. With almost 200 junior students who are participating in @Home learning, it is extremely important for us to know which students WILL NOT be coming to campus to take this test, so that we can be prepared and plan appropriately. If your student WILL NOT come to Steele to take this test, please click on the link provided here (https://forms.gle/mur6vKicY6C7FTcU7) to let us know that. The form is very brief and will take less than five minutes to complete. We truly appreciate your help in assisting us with planning the best environment for students who will take the test on that day.
As part of this testing opportunity, students will also be able to send their scores to four Colleges, Universities, or Scholarship programs of their choice for free. During the SAT pre-administration process, students will be given the opportunity to enter the codes for the Colleges/Programs they choose. These codes must be entered on their testing documents at testing time in order to send the scores for free. Below you will find a link to a document with the questions students are asked when completing the testing information, which also contains the list of codes for the Colleges, Universities, and Scholarship programs. There are numerous schools and programs to choose from, so we recommend that you look at this document now and begin talking with your child about the things they are interested in pursuing. We don't want them to miss out on this free opportunity.

Here is an additional link that has a document which explains the benefits of the SAT and gives some helpful information. (https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/pdf/sat-benefits-students-flyer.pdf)
All students who are testing should arrive at school by 8:20 am on Wednesday, March 24th. Students who are normally @Home students should enter at the school’s main entrance. Testing locations will be posted in that area.
If you would like for your student to get some addtional practice prior to taking this test, a great place to start, and a free option for students, is through the partnership which has been established between College Board and the Khan Academy. Khan Academy provides practice for SAT testing as well as help for students with their regular academic subjects.
