    Welcome back to a year that will be like no other! 2020-2021 will be an adventure for us all ♥️ I am excited about what this year will bring, despite some of the uncertainty.  Know that we will figure this out together and have a great year! 

    Honors English 1 is an advanced course that focuses on the skills needed to be successful as you move up in AP, Dual Credit, the military, college, and career. We read outside of class as well as as a class, such titles as Romeo & Juliet, Speak, Just Mercy and To Kill a Mockingbird.  We will create poetry, read a variety of genres in the realm of short stories, dabble in research, and write. It is important that even if you are a remote learner, you participate.  Expectations are high, but I know that you have taken on this challenge and will do your best. I am always here to help, so advocate for yourself (ask for help) as needed.

    Our curriculum is Springboard, and it comes to us via the College Board.  Whether you will be a remote learner or face-to-face, our work with Springboard will be digital. 

     

    Honors English 1 has been highly digital in prior years. I have added the codes/passwords you will need to be ready for any activity or assignment below.  Please make sure that you are looking at the correct class period :) For example Hon Eng 1-2 is second period, the period is the last number in the label...
