Information about CIS

  • CIS is available to help students in a variety of ways. Typcially we target Attendance, Behavior, and/or Academic needs. And with the help of teachers, parents, and the student themselves, we can help them reach their goals and move toward their future.

    We work with schools in the SCUC ISD, Comal ISD, New Braunfels ISD, Marion ISD and Seguin ISD . Here is how we did as an agency last year:

    CIS served 2,160 case managed students, those who receive comprehensive services.

    •More than 18,000 students received two or more CIS services.

    •12,218 hours of volunteer service were provided by 740 volunteers.


    Performance Outcomes, 2012-2013 School Year

    •99% of CIS-served students in grades 7-12 stayed in school.

    •95% of CIS-served students were promoted to the next grade.

    90% of CIS-served students who presented behavior problems demonstrated some improvement.

    70% of CIS-served students who presented attendance problems demonstrated some improvement.

    88% of CIS-served students who presented academic problems demonstrated some improvement.

    99% of CIS-served students who were eligible to graduate received a high school diploma or a GED.
