    The essence of a learning community is a commitment to the learning of each student.  This commitment is grounded in our beliefs.  The beliefs drive our mission or purpose of being in the field of education...To help all students learn at high levels.  We imagine what it would look like if we were able to achieve our purpose.  This image is best described by Story #4 (see below).  Achieving a level of work that exemplifies Story #4 will be difficult with many components on which to focus and learn.  The goals we set for student learning and adult learning will guide our progress.

    Story #4:  All Children Will Learn on Our Watch...It all starts with my beliefs.

    We believe that all students can learn and must learn at relatively high levels of achievement.  It is our job to create an environment in our classrooms that result in this high level of performance.  We are confident that, with our support and help, students can master challenging academic material, and we expect them to do so.  We are prepared to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents to achieve this shared educational purpose.
