School counselors are available to talk to students and parents about the importance of post-secondary education and how best to plan for post-secondary education, including appropriate courses to consider.  Counselors will also introduce students to various career choices in accordance with House Bill 5.

High school counselors will talk to students and parents about course offerings, graduation requirements, and post-secondary options.  School counselors will provide information about college entrance exams and application processes, as well as information about automatic admission, financial aid, housing, and scholarships as these relate to state colleges and universities. Information will also be provided about workforce opportunities after graduation and/or technical and trade schools.
