Ms. Tina Hidy, MSS for Corbett JHS & Clemens HS and K-6 Schools

Tina Hidy is honored to join the SCUC-ISD team as a Military  Support Specialist. She was a proud Military Spouse who has experience with many of the joys and challenges military life brings including; PCS, deployments, TDY’s, transferring children into many different schools and school districts, transferring to schools mid-year, and starting over in each new community.

She has worked for a US Congressional representative and large corporations and has spent over 15 years working in the non-profit sector.. After marrying into the military community, she took almost every spouse training available to make sense of the differences between her civilian life and the new military life.

She enjoys learning, advising, and teaching. With her former career not viable with the transitions required of military life, she went back to school to earn a Masters of Education. She became a teacher and spent two years in Miami Dade Public School District, then returned to her hometown of San Antonio in July 2019.

Ms. Hidy has three children; one in college, a Junior, and a Sophomore. She understands how ‘military life’ impacts students as a mom and in the classroom as a teacher.

With all of this experience, she is ready and excited to help the military-connected students in the SCUC-ISD transition and make the most of their time in the area.
