Mrs. Naderia Hartley

Hello Watts Family!!! My name is Naderia Hartley and I am excited to start my 1st  year at Watts Elementary School as your school counselor.

I am originally from New York; however, I have lived in many states across the country. I received my bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and my master’s degree from National University in California. I am a lifelong learner and am currently working on earning my PhD in Educational Leadership at UTSA. I have served as a school counselor for over 17 years at both the elementary and secondary school levels. I am married to my high school sweetheart. I have two children, my son is 21 and attends Texas State University, my daughter is 19 and attends Baylor University. I also have a 4-year-old lab name Honey. I love my family, shoes, reading and shopping.

The Counseling Program at Watts Elementary encourages academic, social, and career development. I serve as an advocate for all students and assist in the development of the skills and knowledge needed to contribute to a diverse, dynamic society by encouraging access, equity, and social justice. As your Professional School Counselor, I will serve as a leader who advocates, collaborates, and facilitates individual and system change to ensure every student has the knowledge and skills necessary for academic success and personal growth. My role as a school counselor is one of the most rewarding roles I have and I am excited to work with students, teachers, the administrative team, parents, and the community.

I am looking forward to meeting you all and working together to provide the best support to our students at Watts Elementary School. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. I am looking forward to an amazing school year!
