Parents and Kids,

I am sorry but my master plan has been thwarted.  DrATs!  My Google classroom has been turned off.  The district plan for dyslexia support is for you to get on Lexia Core 5 for 15 minutes per day.  If students finish the Core 5 program, they will be switched over to Lexia Power Up.  This is the dyslexia intervention for remote learning.  Students are required to complete 15 minutes per day at least.  I am putting word cards and high frequency words on my webpage so you can use them to practice also.   I will be checking up on your Lexia progress.   Please feel free to email me anytime with any questions or concerns.

    Thank you all.

    Dear Parents,

The success of your child is a priority at Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD and Wilder Intermediate.  As our district moves to remote learning, your child will continue to receive intervention as they have throughout this school year.

Your child has been receiving dyslexia support for 180 minutes per week with Mrs. Harris.

Dyslexia is a reading difficulty for which a student receives targeted intervention.  During remote learning, Dyslexia students at Wilder will use the Core 5/Lexia program 45 minutes a week (examples: 10 minutes/5 days per week, 15 minutes/3 days per week, 25 minutes/2days per week, etc.) Other resource available for your child in reading are Learning Ally, and the Wilson Reading System if needed.

Classroom Teachers and Dyslexia/Intervention Specialists will continually monitor students throughout the RtI/Dyslexia process during remote learning.  Our main goal is to help all students learn and apply the skills necessary to master grade level curriculum.

Dyslexia/Intervention Specialists will meet as a team every Wednesday from 10:30am-11:30am.  We will be available every day for online support from 9:00 am-10:00 am and 2:00 pm-3:00 pm via email or Zoom for “face to face” support.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the appropriate teacher or the campus principal via email.
