SCUC ISD CTE Advisory Board Misson
The Schertz Cibolo Universal City ISD Career and Technology Education (CTE) Advisory Committee is a group of employers and community representatives who advise the CTE Department on the design, development, operation, evaluation and revision of our CTE programs. Members are selected from CTE business partners that support the program through internships and practicums, prospective new business partners, and other industry professionals recommended by Schertz Cibolo Universal City ISD CTE teachers. The relevant workplace knowledge and resources provided by committee members ensure that all of our programs reflect current workforce trends and guide us as we seek to provide our students with the skills necessary to fill identified workforce gaps within our local community.
The CTE department continues to look for business, industry and community leaders to provide guidance and support to maintain rigorous coursework that is meaningful and responds to the needs of our community. Council members meet approximately 3 times per year.
