• GT Program Service Model

    Full-time Inclusion

    GT students receive differentiated instruction in their areas of strength from their core subject classroom teachers.  Classes may include GT and non-GT students.  

    Classroom teachers of GT students receive 30-hours of foundational GT training and a 6-hour update training each year.

    GT Program Nomination & Assessment 

    2020-21 GT Nominations for parents will be from December 2020 - January 2021.

    Student data will be collected in January and February 2021 and GT Committees will meet in early March to determine student need for GT services.

    Parent notifications will be in March 2021.

    Student Assessment in Response to Covid-19

    SCUC In Person Learners:

    Students learning "In Person" that are referred for GT assessment will be assessed on campus following district/campus safety protocols.


    SCUC @ Home Learners:

     Students learning "@ Home" that are referred for GT assessment will have 2 options for GT assessment completion:

    1. Small group assessment at MDLC (groups of 10 or less) following district safety protocols.

    2. Deferral of assessment until Fall 2021
