SCUCISD Education Foundation
About the Foundation
The SCUCISD Education Foundation was created in 2008 when a group of like-minded community members decided to give back to the teachers of the district. Foundation founders studied other local school district foundations and decided that even though SCUCISD was a smaller district at the time, the teachers and staff could stand to have some financial help when it came to implementing innovative teaching initiatives through the district. The first fundraiser held was a breakfast at Garcia's on FM 3009 that was then followed by the first golf tournament at Olympia Hills Golf Course, and so began the opportunity to deliver more than $15,000 via Prize Patrol the following school year.
What We Do
We exist to support the teachers and students of Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD through fundraising efforts that have funded more than $290,000 in innovative grants. For more than ten years, these grants have encouraged, facilitated, recognized and rewarded innovative and creative instructional approaches.
