Staff Password Change Instructions and Considerations

To perform a self-initiated password reset, please follow these steps:
1. Sign on to a District-owned, Windows device that is connected to a District network connection.
2. Press Control-Alt-Delete and select "Change a password"
3. Enter your previous password in the "Old password" field
4. Enter a new password in the "New password" and "Confirm password" fields.
5. Click the arrow on the right of the Confirm password field.
Password reset considerations
Following a password change, users must also update stored passwords in the following places:
- Password Lockers in Classlink, please follow these instructions for updating these stored passwords
- Office 365
- Google Drive
- Stored autofill passwords in your browser
- Stored username and password in your email applications mobile devices
After changing a district account password for computer logins and email, district Google account passwords will synchronize automatically to the new password.
BYOD Wifi Considerations
It is recommended for all users to manually forget or disconnect the "SCUCPORTAL" wifi network and then join again with the newly set password.
Users connected to "SCUCPORTAL" will be prompted within ~30 days to re-authenticate with new credentials.
