Student Registration

  • 2018-2019 Registration Information

    Please bring your txConnect Username and Password with you to the campus when completing the registration process.  You will need to log into your account.

    All student registration for the 2018-2019 School Year will take place through the parent portal txConnect. 

    In order to register a student, the parent will need to create a txConnect account if they do not already have one with the Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City School District.  Parents will only need to have one txConnect account – all of their students can be added to the same account. txConnect accounts will remain active as long as you have a student enrolled in SCUCISD added to your account.  You do not need to set up a new account.

    Registration for Continuing Students

     Elementary & Intermediate Campuses

    REGISTRATION DATES: 

    April 16, 2018 at 9:00 AM

    • Online registration through txConnect will  open up for the registration of continuing students
    • The entire registration process for returning students, including uploading proof of residency, can be completed online through txConnect
    • If you are able to complete the registration process and upload your proof of residency through txConnect from home, you do not need to go to the campus 

    Please note: There will be beginning of year forms that must be filled out through txConnect in August.  Certain forms and information must be dated/electronically signed during the correct school year, so we cannot provide those to you at this time.  We will post the date that these forms will be available as soon as it has been set.

    April 16 – May 11, 2018 (Monday – Friday)

    TIMES: Normal School Hours

    • The campus will be open to assist you with uploading your proof of residence if you are unable to upload it from home
    • Computers will be available at the campus for you to complete registration through txConnect if you do not have access to a computer at home

     

    Jr. High Campuses (Grades 7-8)

    Pre-Kindergarten & Kindergarten Round-Up

    Please bring your txConnect Username and Password to the campus with you when completing the registration process.  You will need to log into your account.

    REGISTRATION DATES:  

    April 23, 2018 at 9:00 AM

    • Online registration through txConnect will  open up for the registration of Kindergarten students who are New to the District Only
      • Pre-K students will need to meet the qualification process at the campus April 30th through May 4 before parents start the online registration process
      • Existing students (current SCUCISD PK or speech students) registering for Kindergarten will need to complete the continuing student registration starting April 16, 2018

    April 30 – May 4, 2018 

    • The campuses will be open during normal school hours for parents to qualify for Pre-K
    • The campuses will be open during normal school hours for parents to bring in completed registration documentation after the online registration has been completed
    • txConnect will be open for parents to complete the online registration for all new Kindergarten and Pre-K students that have met the qualification requirements at the campus

     TIME: Normal School Hours

    LOCATION: In the main office of the Elementary School your address is zoned to. (Rose Garden Elementary will be registering students at their current campus in Universal City. The new campus is not open at this time.)

    REQUIREMENT:

    • Pre-Kindergarten child must be 4 years old by September 1, 2018 and must qualify for the program based on certain criteria. Please refer to TEA's, Student Attendance Accounting Handbook, Section 7 for details.
      • If applying based on income, please bring proof of all household income.
      • If you are applying based on active duty military status, please bring military ID card or PCS orders and reservists bring activation orders.
      • If applying based on foster care, please bring verification letter provided by the DFPS and Child Protective Services.

    Please do not register your Pre-K student online before going through the qualification process at the campus first. 

    • Kindergarten child must be 5 years old by September 1, 2018 
      • Once the online registration is completed, the parent will then bring the documentation to their home campus during normal school hours between April 30 and May 4 to finalize their student's registration

    Summer Registration for New Students to the District

     

    Elementary (Grades PK – 4) & Intermediate Campuses (Grades 5 – 6)

    Please bring your txConnect Username and Password to the campus with you when completing the registration process.  You will need to log into your account.

    REGISTRATION DATES: 

    July 2, 2018 at 9:00 AM

    • Online registration through txConnect will  open up for the registration of students who are New to the District

    July 30 - August 2, 2018

    • The campuses will be open for parents to bring in completed registration documentation after the online registration has been completed
    • txConnect will be open for parents to complete the online registration for all students new to the district 

    TIMES: 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM (closed every day for lunch 11:00 AM -1:00 PM)

    LOCATION: At the home campus your student is zoned for. (Currently, Rose Garden Elementary is scheduled to hold registration in the band hall at Corbett Junior High. Please check back for any updates prior to going to the campus for registration in July.)

    • txConnect will be open for parents to complete the online registration for all students new to the district 

    New student registration will be held at your student’s home campus: Corbett Jr. High or Dobie Jr. High

    July 9 - July 23, 2018 (closed on Fridays)

    TIMES: 8:00 AM - 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM (closed for lunch 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM)

    • The campuses will be open for parents to bring in completed registration documentation after the online registration has been completed
    • Appointments will be scheduled to meet with counselors for student course selections once the online registration process is complete and all required doucments are brought to the school

    July 26, July 30, July 31 and August 1, 2018

    TIMES:  8:00 AM - 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM (closed for lunch 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM)

    • Meetings with counselors – by appointment only

    Byron P. Steele High School:

    High School Prep Days

       High School Campuses (Grades 9-12)

    • Prep days for 9th-12th grades will be held at the student's home high school campus:  Samuel Clemens or Byron P. Steele

     Clemens High School:

    DUE TO CONSTRUCTION, THERE WILL BE NO PREP DAYS THIS YEAR AT SAMUEL CLEMENS HIGH SCHOOL

    First Day of School:  Monday, August 20, 2018

    Yearbook Pictures: August 21 and August 22, 2018 in the Library.  Time will be determine during school hourse on these days.

    Senior Portraits:  Appointments will be set up through Photo Texas Photography for July 25, July 26, July 30 and July 31.  Information will be mailed by Photo Texas Photography to your address on file.

    11th and 12th Grades:  August 1 from 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

    10th Grade:                 August 2 from 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

      9th Grade:                 August 6 from 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

      



     What to bring to New Student Registration: 

    • Picture ID of the parent registering the student (military or driver’s license)
    • Most current proof of residence (current gas, water, electric, or lease agreement)
    • Shot records
    • Student’s Birth Certificate (New Students To District Only)
    • Student’s Social Security Card  (New Students To District Only)
    • If you are building a house in the district, please see below for the registration requirements needed for new home builders.
    • The most current divorce or custody papers and any other legal documents concerning guardianship.
    • Power of Attorney and Residency Affidavit documents from the previous school year are void and must be renewed for the 2018-2019 school year. Residency Affidavits can be renewed at the campus during registration.

    Registration Requirements For New Home Builders
    Upload a copy of the signed contract and a letter from the builder/realtor to your Student Transfer Request application.  This letter needs to be on letterhead and should state the property address, buyer(s) name and estimated closing date, month & year.  The letter must be signed by the builder/realtor and include their contact information.

    • Fill out a transfer request form available under the "Parent" tab on the district webpage at www.scuc.txed.net.
    • The transfer request will be submitted for review by school district administration.
    • Once a decision has been made on the transfer request, you will be called and informed of the decision.
    • After the transfer request is approved, you may go to the campus and register your student. 

    NEW IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS

    • Two doses of Hepatitis A for all Kindergarten – 7th grade students.
    • Two doses of MMR vaccine for all Kindergarten – 7thgrade students.

     Please check with your health care provider to ensure your child is in compliance. Your child will be excluded from school attendance until proof of the required vaccinations are received.
