Student Registration

  • At this time, ALL student registration will be done through remote registration. 

    We will not be holding in person registration.

    2020-2021 Registration Information

      **Please see "Related Files" at the bottom of this page for important printable information related to registration**

    All student registration for the 2020-2021 School Year will take place through the parent portal txConnect. 

    In order to register a student, the parent will need to create a txConnect account if they do not already have one with the Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City School District.  Parents will only need to have one txConnect account – all of their students can be added to the same account. txConnect accounts will remain active as long as you have a student enrolled in SCUCISD added to your account.  You do not need to set up a new account.

    Information on creating your txConnect account and using txConnect to complete the registration process can be found under “Related Files” at the bottom of this page.  Please be sure to check back closer to registration for any updates to the instructions as we finalize the new registration process.

    Registration for Continuing Students

     

     All Elementary, Intermediate, Junior High and High School Campuses

    •  If you have not completed Continuing Student Registration for your student, please do so now.
    • Online registration through txConnect will  is currently open for the registration of continuing students
    • The entire registration process for returning students, including uploading proof of residency, can be completed online through txConnect

    Please note: There will be beginning of year forms that must be filled out through txConnect in August.  Certain forms and information must be dated/electronically signed during the correct school year, so we cannot provide those to you at this time.  Beginning of Year Forms will open in txConnect on Friday, August 7, 2020.

      



     Summer Registration for New Students to the District 

    • For the safety of everyone, during social distrancing due to COVID-19, the entire student registration process for new students will take place remotely through txConnect, through email with district staff, and through the use of a secure electronic Dropbox to transfer documents to the campus.
    • Parents will complete the registration process through txConnect and click "Submit to District".
    • Parents will complete the PDF forms and save the file to their computer.
    • Parents will create a file with all required documents (birth certificate, shot records, proof of residency, withdraw papers, last report card, etc) to send to the campus using a secure Dropbox link that the registrar will provide.
      • See "Important Regitration Info and Checklists" in the txConnect registration process for a complete list of documents needed.
    • Once the parent completes the registration process in txConnect and clicks "Submit to District", the parent will need to email the campus at the campus' registration email address (listed below) to request a secure Dropbox link.
      • Please include the following information in your email:
        • student's full name and date of birth
        • a contact phone number
    • The parent will use the secure Dropbox link to upload all required documents and completed forms so that the campus registrar can process their student's enrollment.
    • Once all items have been received, the registrar will begin processing the student's registration.  The registrar will contact the parent/guardian with the next steps. 

    txConnect will open at 9:00 AM on Thursday, July 2, 2020 so that parents can begin completing new student registration through txConnect.

    How will I receive the parent survey and select in person instruction (SCUC On Campus) or remote instruction (SCUC @ Home) for my new student?

    Once the registrar is able to complete the enrollment process for a new student, the registrar will email the parent/guardian the student's Portal ID along with information on adding the new student to the parent's txConnect account as an existing student.  The registrar will also be including a link to the parent survey so that the parent/guardian can complete the survey and make their selection for in-person (SCUC On Campus) or remote (SCUC @ Home) instruction for their new student.

     



     What to provide during New Student Registration:  (at this time documents will be submitted to the campus through a secure Dropbox link)

    • Picture ID of the parent registering the student (military or driver’s license)
    • Most current {within 30 days} proof of residence (current gas, water, electric, or lease agreement)
    • Shot records
    • Student’s Birth Certificate (New Students To District Only)
    • Student’s Social Security Card  (New Students To District Only)
    • Student's Withdraw Form and/or Final Report Card from Previous School (if available)
    • If you are building a house in the district, please see below for the registration requirements needed for new home builders.
    • The most current divorce or custody papers and any other legal documents concerning guardianship.
    • Power of Attorney and Residency Affidavit documents from the previous school year are void and must be renewed for the 2020-2021 school year. Residency Affidavits can be renewed at the campus during registration.

    Registration Requirements For New Home Builders


    Upload a copy of the signed contract and a letter from the builder/realtor to your Student Transfer Request application.  This letter needs to be on letterhead and should state the property address, buyer(s) name and estimated closing date, month & year.  The letter must be signed by the builder/realtor and include their contact information.

    • Information on the Transfer Process
    • Fill out a transfer request form available under the "Parent" tab on the district webpage at www.scuc.txed.net.  
    • The transfer request will be submitted for review by school district administration.
    • Once a decision has been made on the transfer request, you will receive an email from Schoolobjects NOREPLY with the decision.
    • After the transfer request is approved, you may contact the campus and register your student. 

    NEW IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS

    • Two doses of Hepatitis A for all Kindergarten – 11th grade students.
    • Two doses of MMR vaccine for all Kindergarten – 12thgrade students.

     Please check with your health care provider to ensure your child is in compliance. Your child will be excluded from school attendance until proof of the required vaccinations are received.
