  •  Counseling Programs

As part of SCUCUSD, Comprehensive Counseling Program, school counselors are required to meet the needs of students under the following 4 components:

*Class Guidance - Guidance lessons are offered to students K - 4th.  K - 4th grade students will focus on the Zones of Regulation the first semester.  The second semester we will focus on being future          ready, kindness, conflict mediation and goal setting.

*Responsive Services - Students, teachers, parents and administrators may refer students to work with me.  Various social and emotional sills are visited during individual or small group counseling sessions.  Topics can vary from conflict mediation, friendships, social skills, grit and a growth mindset and self-regulation.

*Systems Support - This allows me to work with teachers and parents as I play a role of an advocate for the student.  It is important students feel safe and comfortable in school so they are ready to learn.  I also offer various resources and refer out to other agencies based on level of need.

*Individual Planning - I meet with indiviudal students to set and work on personal goals to help them be successful at school.
