Attendance Policy

Students who sign up for Owl Chorale, Orff Ensemble or Recorder Ensemble are

MAKING A COMMITMENT.

 As a part of their commitment, students are expected to

attend all rehearsals and performances.

Rehearsals

Owl Chorale: Mondays from  2:45-3:45

Recorder Ensemble:  Tuesday mornings from 7:10-7:35

Folk Dance Society: Tuesdays from 2:45-3:45

Orff Ensemble:  Thursdays from 2:45-3:45

*Excused Absences

If your child is not able to attend a rehearsal, please do one of the following:

-  Send Mrs. Szanto a note

-  Call the school and leave Mrs. Szanto a message

If your child leaves school early, it is his/her responsibility to stop by the music room to let me know that he/she will not be coming to rehearsal.

STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO

ATTEND ALL PERFORMANCES! 

Unexcused Absences

 An unexcused absence is one where a student:

-  Misses a rehearsal without giving Mrs. Szanto an explanation BEFOREHAND (a note from home or a phone message)

-  Leaves school early for illness, doctor’s appointment, etc. without  letting Mrs. Szanto know

Students are only allowed 3 absences in a semester—excused or otherwise!!!  The 4th absences will result in dismissal!!!
