Mrs. Teresa Fernandez
Welcome to Dyslexia classes! I have my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a Reading Specialist certificate. I have been in the SCUC ISD for over 27 years. I taught mostly 6th grade Language Arts all those years with one year in 5th. I became the Dyslexia teacher at Wilder in 2004.
In my free time I like to read and hang out with my family. It seems we are always on the go!

Dear Parents,
I am asking that all Dyslexic students continue working in the Lexia ( CORE 5) program to continue their reading skills.
The requirement is to have your child work on CORE 5 for 45 minutes each week. You can break that time up as you wish.
I will be contacting parents soon to address any concerns or issues you might have in regards to CORE 5. CORE 5 should be on your child's CLASSLINKS page.
I will be available via email M-F 9:00 am to 10:00 am & 2 pm to 3 pm. My email is --tfernandez@scuc.txed.net.
My Google Voice # is 210-802-8903. I am also available via Zoom. If you would like to set up a Zoom conference, please email me and we can set that up for a specific time.
Please email me and let me know how I can support you and your student during this time away from each other.
Reading is FUN!
Please refer to "My Resources" for sight words & leveled word cards to work on at home.
