Coach Hadas

Hi, My name is Mari B. Hadas.  This is my 11th year in SCUCISD, but my 7th year at Dobie.  I was at Steele for 4 years teaching Business Management, Business Information Management 1 & 2, and Professional Communications (Speech)   I love teaching and want to make sure that each of my students has an experience that will afford them every opportunity to learn and understand the concepts of Human Services and CCR.  My class will not only prepare them for high school, but for life beyond school. My Human Services (Career Portals) class was one of the best experiences in all of my education.   I look forward to this year and to all the opportunities it will present for each student throughout the year.

My family moved to the Schertz-Cibolo area in 1992 from Randolph A.F.B .  I attended Dobie, Corbett, and Samuel Clemens High School.  I graduated from Samuel Clemens in 2000.  After completing high school, I continued my education at San Antonio College and then Texas State University-San Marcos.  I graduated from TXSTU in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Sociology.  In 2007, I began teaching 4th grade at Indian Creek Elementary in the Southwest Independent School District. Then in 2008, I was given the opportunity to come home to SCUCISD and teach at Steele. In December of 2010, I graduated with my Master's degree at Texas A&M-San Antonio in Educational Leadership/Administration. Most recently, I completed my Doctorate of Education from Concordia University-Portland.

I was married on December 30, 2011 to Brian and we have 4 beautiful children.  When I am not at work, I love to spend time with my family!

I want each student and parent to know that my door is always open and I welcome feedback so that we can all work as a team for the success of each student in and out of the classroom!  You will find my schedule below.  My class is a tool to help students with many different aspects of growing and maturing in junior high school and beyond!

Please take a moment to look at my rules, computer ethics, and district grading policy which can be found attached at the bottom of this page.

As the year progresses, I try to not burden the parents by requesting additional supplies since there are so many projects and other classes.  The following is a supply list that I believe will help us through the year.

    EVERY STUDENT:

    • EVERY 8th grader needs a small planner! 7th graders will be provided one in their College & Career Readiness class.
