Students attend "core classes" part of the day and work part time or volunteer at a place of employment where they can earn an income. Students are monitored by a job coach and are assessed for their job performance by the VAC Teacher.

Students who participate and meet the requirements to become a VAC student may also volunteer at an agency which volunteers employees such as: An Animal Shelter, Food Banks and Goodwill.  Students can earn vocational work experience while receiving volunteer training. Students are monitored by a job coach and are assessed for their job performance by the Vocational Adjustment Coordinator.
