Welcome to my Math and Electives Website.

While the circumstances of your student being placed at the DAEP are unfortunate, please know that whether I have your student for Math or for an Elective, I will do my best to ensure that their academic growth continues. Math classes, except for Pre-AP, AP or IB, are taught by me. Pre-AP, AP and IB work will be sent by their campus teacher and I will tutor/mentor them in that class. Grades are sent during each 3 week progress report period.

Elective work is sent from their home campus for completion and then returned for ghgrading.

Please feel free to e-mail me with any concerns or suggestions which will benefit the students. If you would like to set up a parent conference with me, please call and set up a date and time by calling the school at 210-945-6413 or by e-mail by clicking the envelope icon above. While I would prefer to meet with parents or guardians before or after school or during my conference period, I will meet with you at any time with enough advance notice so that I can make arrangements for my class.

The following are some of personal goals for students in my class throughout the year:

To provide students with choices in the methods of completing their work, such that they have control over which method to use in completing their class work.

    1. I will make a conscious effort to provide positive feedback and reinforce positive behavior.
    2. I will minimize the emphasis on negative behavior and provide them alternative solutions to a situation which resulted in that negative behavior through direct dialog on alternative solutions that could have been used instead.
    3. I will assist student in accomplishing short term goals by having them write them out where the goals are realistic, achievable and measurable within the time span that they are at the DAEP.
Tutoring is available most mornings from 8:00 am to 8:30 am; except Wednesdays. Afternoon tutoring will be by appointment only.
This site is continuously being updated so all links shown, may or may not work. Please be patient as I work on maintaining the website.
