Mrs. Tonya Pinnell
I am Tonya Pinnell, the counselor at DAEP. I have 17 years of counseling experience. Prior to my counseling experience I worked in a variety of settings - focusing on child abuse, trauma, parenting , domestic violence and mental health.
Since 2008 I have worked as a counselor in SCUC ISD at the DAEP. I have always preferred to work in a non-traditional school setting. My passion is working with youth, helping them restore whatever is broken and helping students live their lives to their fullest potential. I take a holistic approach to counseling, looking at all aspects of a child's life.
I truly believe that change can happen. I'll spend time understanding what you are experiencing and why. I'm here to help you make those changes.

I don't shy away from giving feedback, or challenging thoughts or beliefs that might be getting in the way of progress.
WHATEVER IT IS THAT'S GOING ON IN YOU OR YOUR LIFE, I'M HERE TO HELP!
