Hi Y'all! My name is Lisa Pickens and I'm a new teacher to Dobie Junior High! I graduated from Texas A&M in College Station with a Bachelors in History (History is my jam). I'm joining the 8th Grade US History Staff as well as the Coaching crew. I live in Canyon Lake with my dog Charlie. My ideal day starts with a hefty amount of coffee, a run with my dog, a nap and a swim in the lake! I'm very excited to be here and ready to get this year started.

**NEW** Zero Sheet
New to my classroom - the zero sheet! When im collecting an assignment, the student is to fill out a zero sheet explaining why they didnt turn it in. They know they can complete the assignment and turn it in the next two days, but this is for them to turn SOMETHING in and so I can get an idea of how many times a student turns things in late.
