I earned my bachelor's degree in special education at University of West Florida in 1998, and started teaching in Florida that same year.  Subsequently, I earned my master's degree in elementary education in 2009, and I started teaching iin the Schertz Cibolo Universal City School District that same year.  I have enjoyed teaching at Sippel Elementary since 2013.  

I am a mother of 4, and grandmother of 4.  I have 2 "puppies" and I love outdoor activities, escpecially kayaking and exploring caves and other natural areas.
