SCUCISD District Comparison Chart(s)

  • SCHERTZ-CIBOLO-UNIVERSAL CITY ISD DISTRICT COMPARISON CHART(S)

Performance Excellence criteria stresses the importance of gathering comparative data and information for “benchmark” districts in order to compare best practices and performance for similar activities. Competitive comparisons help us relate our district’s performance to that of other school districts in our regional (local) area and also to similar districts throughout the state.

While selecting a regional comparison group of area districts is a relatively simple process, the selection of a sustainable comparison group of similar districts throughout the state can prove to be more challenging.  Our state-wide comparison group is comprised of districts that are similar to SCUC ISD in both total student population and percentage of students from low socioeconomic backgrounds (low SES). (Note:  HEB ISD is not the same size and percentage of low SES…but is still included because of their long-term performance track record)

The over-arching concept is that we want to be the “best in our class” all over the state, not just in our area/region. Our graduates will compete with students from all over the state, nation and world…therefore; we need to ensure we are outperforming all of our competition (state-wide).
