This evening Bexar County and City of San Antonio officials have issued a, “Stay Home, Work Safe” order effective at 11:59 p.m. tomorrow evening, March 24, 2020. As a result, SCUC ISD is working to reduce the staff members who physically report to work to essential personnel. Both the feeding of school students and providing for their continued learning through remote instruction remain essential services for the Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD.
Schertz Elementary will continue to serve meals for breakfast from 7:30-8:30 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
SCUC will continue the implementation of our Remote Learning Plan (link) with instruction beginning on Wednesday, March 25. SCUC technology device pick up at Jordan and Wilder intermediate schools will continue as scheduled. Learning packet pick up and the returning of student work to campuses are not impacted by this order.
Our communication efforts will continue through our website (https://www.scuc.txed.net), Blackboard and our social media pages. Please monitor these communication channels for updates as we all work through this rapidly changing situation.
I continue to be impressed in our community’s response to this extraordinary worldwide event. Thank you for your patience, support and assistance as together we navigate this challenge.
