Dauphinais named Director of Elem. Education

SCUC ISD Trustees approved the recommendation of Sarah Dauphinais as the new Executive Director of Elementary Education at the called meeting held on May 3, 2022. Ms. Dauphinais is currently the principal at Laura Ingalls Wilder Elementary School, a position she has held since 2013. She will assume her new duties on July 1, 2022.

“I am beyond excited to accept this new role and responsibility,” Dauphinais said. “ Leading the elementary and intermediate campuses to ensure our children, families and staff feel a true sense of belonging and help our children find their life passion is my mission.”  She adds she is grateful for the opportunity to serve in a school district with the reputation of SCUC. “It was a blessing to my life when I joined the district in 2009.  I was blessed to become the principal at Wilder in 2013.  I am beyond blessed to become the Executive Director of Elementary Education.”

Dauphinais began her career as an elementary school teacher in Spring Branch ISD  before teaching for 7 years in the Judson ISD, including second, third and fourth grade levels. She then became the campus Curriculum and Instructional Specialist for three years.  She spent a year as the district’s Federal Programs and Grants Administrator prior to arriving at SCUC ISD.

Three years as assistant principal at Schlather Intermediate School and one year at Jordan Intermediate School in the same role led to Dauphinais assuming the principal position at Wilder in 2013.

Dauphinais has a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with Specializations in Reading and English from the University of Houston and a master degree in Educational Administration from Concordia University. She is married and has three adult children and a variety of pets.
