Brian H. Moy named Chief Financial Officer
January 19, 2022 — The Schertz Cibolo Universal City ISD Board of Trustees approved North East ISD Executive Director of Finance and Accounting Brian Moy as SCUC ISD’s Chief Financial Officer at Tuesday’s monthly board meeting.
Brian Moy joined NEISD in 2002 as the district’s comptroller. In his most recent position as the Executive Director of Finance and Accounting, Moy played a role in all finance-related aspects of the district with annual fund flows of more than $1 billion. During his tenure in NEISD, Moy noted that he is most proud of the district’s ability to lower the debt service tax rate by $0.10 per $100 of valuation over the last seven years while completing a $500 million bond program.
“After 20 years in NEISD, I was ready for a new challenge,'' said Moy. “I am honored to join SCUC ISD and work with the incredible leadership team and build upon the district’s success. I see this as a great opportunity to partner with the superintendent in a district that looks like it’s going to be growing in the next few years.”
“Brian’s extensive knowledge of public school finance is definitely impressive, but his genuine desire to see those around him excel is what truly made him the best fit for SCUC,” said Dr. Clark Ealy, Superintendent of Schools.
Moy replaces Wayne Pruski who is retiring at the end of this school year after 28 years in education, all at SCUC ISD. The search for a new CFO began in November 2021.
Brian Moy and his wife of 20 years, Trisch, a teacher, have a son who is a freshman in college.
